Fuel System Issue?

Had the boat out last weekend, while up on plane it seemed to start bogging and the RPMs dropped drastically. I took a look in the motor well and while everything looked ok (no fires oil dripping or fuel spraying around) the motor seemed to be running alot rougher than usual and would stay running but was popping a little though the carb as well.

I continued running as I was headed in after fishing but could not seem to get up power to get on plane running on two barrels. I burried the throttle and opened it up and got up on plane but as I say she was running rough. wouldn't idle unless I throttled it up a bit.

So far I have checked the fuel system, lines are clear, new filter, fuel pump is pumping strong. It seems to be getting plenty of fuel to the carb. While idling I have to tap the accelerator pump occaisionally to keep it running while checking it over. The onlything left to consider is the carb. Today while checking things out it fired right up and ran great until it warmed up the choke let off.

Engine is 350 cid OMC, electronic ign. (unilite), Quad 4MV carb. All pretty simple & bare bones engine.

I'm wondering if a compression test may be necessary or does the carb seem to be my next consideration.
