Fuel System

I am looking to install a fuel water separator in a different location(I had it mounted in the bilge)but would like to move it up. is there a "best place" for this filter I was thinking of possibly making a hanger out of 1/8" alum. and fastening to the exhaust manifold,same location as the starter solenoid.and near the fuel pump.

There are many options... but I do not believe I would put it on the manifold in case it overheats. Bad things could happen.

It's not really on the manifold! the fuel seperator hanger would be hung from the stud that's in the exhaust manifold to hold the starter assist solenoid!
