Fuel tank box

Looking for ideas/inspiration. I have a vintage Mirrocraft Ski n troll with a Johnson outboard and metal tank. I want to put an enclosure of some kind over the fuel tank like a crate or chest…something with a vintage look I could put a tackle box on or sit on if I needed to. Have any of you built something like this?

Just be sure you include some way to ventilate it, so you don’t create a box full of gas fumes.

if you really desire to cover it....get an old coke cooler

however you will need vent holes.
