Fuel Tank Inspection Ports

I have a bit of a challenge with the fuel tank access hatch locations. I am rehabbing a Parker 21' SE and have purchased a 42 gallon bait tank/lean post and the location for the back fuel tank inspection port will end up under the bait tank. I see no way of working this out. If I slide the fuel tank forward the front inspection hatch will be under the cooler seat of the console and absolutely inaccessible forever. If I leave it where it is the only way to access the sending unit will be to remove the 10 screws holding the bait tank down. I considered moving the sending unit and pickups forward in the tank but I was afraid this may impact correct gauge reading and not allow all fuel to be picked up. I guess my real question is, does not having access to this give anyone great concern? I only recall looking at the manual tank gauge one time on my old Parker. In a real pinch I could remove the tank as long as it is not stuck down with 5200. Any thoughts?

10 screws takes 30 seconds with a dewalt 18v drill.

I hear ya...and that is what I am leaning towards. Have you ever had a sending unit go bad? I am going to call the company at made the tank today to see if moving the sending unit and pick up affects anything.

Ayuh,... That equates to a New tank....
Neither the gauge sender, nor the pickup tube are easily moveable...

Spoke with the tank manufacturer and moving the sending unit is no big deal. Obviously I will have to drill a new hole and tap it, but that is easy enough. He sent me a drawing of the tank so I know where the baffles are and all the specs.

Might wanna pull the tank, flush it out, fill with water to prevent it going boom! from elec drill sparks.
I wouldn't even bother doing it in the first place, senders are at the rear of the tank to reduce slosh readings.
But you're the cap'n.

Tank is out of the boat now and it has 2 baffles that will reduce the sloshing. The manufacturer says the reading should be no different if I move it 12" up. Tank has been emptied and vented.
