Fuel Tank Leak

Hi again.....
This time I have a bad fuel leak. I went for a ride this afternoon and thought that I should have had more fuel reading on the gage as I had put quite a bit in a few weeks ago, but hadn't went anywhere and sure enough when I pulled over to check, the bilges were full of fuel. So now I'm wondering if the fuel went straight into the bilges when I filled it last or is the tank steadily leaking and where? Doesn't look like there is anyway to get the tank out for repairs if needed unless one could remove the center console and somehow slide it forward from there, otherwise it looks like some floor cutting would be in order. So, while I'm taking what I can apart for a looksee, hopefully I can get some good feedback here to steer me in the right direction, so thanks in advance for your time.

Re: Fuel Tank Leak

I would be checking the hoses going from the filler cap to the tank first. If it is the tank it most likely is a seam that popped from expansion. Make sure your vent is not plugged.

Re: Fuel Tank Leak

Thanks for the feedback, however it has been about two years now and it so happens that I never did find that it was coming from the tank. All has been well since and I'm now suspecting that either someone was siphoning my fuel and in turn spilled it everywhere, or most likely it came from a hose that I then replaced while doing a pressure check on the tank, even though was no indication of that.
