I have been working on and doing a resto mod on a 1966 Allmand. It has 2 25 gallon saddle tanks port and starbord. The tanks are all flushed out.I got new fuel caps ,Seachoice with the 2 1/2 inlet but also has a vent for overflow.I also have 2 vents on either side.
Do I hook up the vent hose to the new caps and cover the original vents ? or do I have to still vent from the original plus ........All you People have really helped me with this restoration just by reading this forum.I hope to put pitures up soon. Thanks Solon Ohio. Dan.
P.S. Fishing is GREAT ON LAKE ERIE!!

I can't be positive on this but I believe as long as your tank has a vent that meets regulations you should be fine not on the other hand having a second vent in case one gets clogged which happens a lot with mud wasps around here just helps to have a backup vent. So take that for what its worth $0.0002
