Hey.

I am looking to purchase the following aluminum V bottom 18 gallon below deck fuel tank from Iboats:

http://www.iboats.com/18-Gallon-Bel...3474570--**********.147102229--view_id.732616

The dimensions are a perfect fit to replace my older warped plastic one.

My question is, if you look at the picture of the new aluminum one it appears on one side there is a two pipes, one big one smaller. Is that fill and vent tubes? Then there is two fittings? on the far end. are they for the fuel line to the motor?

My concern is that the tank in the boat now has the fill tube and the fitting for the fuel line to the motor on the same said(back) and the vent tube up front.

Would it be to far of a run to have the line that feeds the motor at the front of the tank? or will it be fine once I pump up the primer bulb and the motor is running?

Thanks for any help~!

In my opion you will be fine. Its the vertical (rise) that the pump has to overcome.

I agree. I had a fuel line running all the way from the back to the front under the deck of my last boat and it worked just fine.
