Seems like the fuel gauge is showing about 1/4 tank difference in level than what's actually in the tank. Is there any decent or better technology out there to install in onboard fuel tanks that can show a more accurate level in the tank on the gauge.

could be a bad sender
could be corrosion on the wiring
could be bad gauge
could be the tank is too shallow and your boat has a trim/heal issue

there are ultrasonic sensors on the market which do not care about trim or heal angles and will give you a really accurate reading.

however they need to be programmed to your exact tank dimensions and cost a lot more than a float type sender

thanks for the input Scott. Appreciate it. I've got a direction to head in as soon as the weather breaks. Tite Lines.
