Re: Fuel Tank Vent

It kind of looks like one I used to see on a few aqua sports.

The boats came new with one mounted just below the rub rail. it actually stuck out beyond the rail and was often the first item to be broken off by the noobes.

It says on the description I found it only sticks out 1 inch. I hope I don't tear it off. lol

I have this one and I have been testing it. Do you have to unscrew it when you go out and back in when you are done. I wasnt getting any air in and just found it was shut. I am hoping this is my backfiring problem. Any thoughts?

I was just curious about using this one because the anti siphon is built in. The stainless steel one seems like a stupid design.

Could be.A closed vent line will can cause a lean condition and a lean engine will backfire.

Here are some chrome and flush mount vents..
