I have a 1990 Searay 220da. This past weekday I notice that fuel was leaking out of the overflow vent. When i went to loosen the gas cap I notice that there was some pressure build up,Like opening up a soda bottle. It has been winterized and sitting on my driveway for the past 5 months. Can you give me a clue as what to look for.

Re: Fuel tank

Hi there mp. I would guess that the warmer weather is heating up and expanding the fuel, and that's why it's overflowing. ;)

Sounds like you may have filled it last year when it was cold.just make sure you clean up gas spilled on your hull, it will make a mess of any decals it touches.

Jim

Sounds like you need to look for a nice day to go for a boat ride. Remember, you have to run that gas out faster than it can make it. At $2.30 per gallon I wouldnt let it just run out onto the ground. LOL Have fun on your season opener!!!!

PS Dont forget your "check list".
