Well I did it after forty years of owening outboards motors <br />I let my 6 gals. O M C tanks rust up on the inside is there any way to save them if not were to go for plastic tanks in the 6 gals. sizes.<br />been lucky for all the years still have 1962 5 1/2 motor runs as good as brand new.<br />thanks for you time <br />hillboy

eBay is the best place to look for those twin hose tanks, Hillboy.<br /><br />You can also post a want ad above.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

hillboy,<br /><br />JB is right, those twin hose (pressure) tanks can be had on e bay from time to time.<br /><br />I've cleaned some old tanks by rolling BB's around in them. However, you will always fight the rust.

Yep,<br />I've done the Cleaning Thing before......<br />I used a Handful of Nuts,+ Bolts....(I think the Edges help) Along with a 1/2gal. of Kerosene.... Lots of Shake, Rattle,+ Rolling......<br />A Ton of Work, But It Does Work.......
