Like most boaters I have the common fuel spill out my vent. With a full tank I spill fuel from warm weather or any time I move or wiggle the boat! I find it strange when the vent is 12 inces above my tank. I was told to get a longer vent hose and loop it has anyone tried this? What about if I put a ball valve in the vent line would that be dangerous?

Re: Fuel vent spill cure

i have similar issues when i fill up. my answer so far is to not fill up so much.... kinda hard to do though. for my fill up problem, i been thinking about getting one of these.. http://www.landfallnavigation.com/-mspill.html
this obviously only helps at fuel up. but that's where the issue starts at. being to full.
