A really dumb question-but-when I winterized my Mercruiser 3.0 this fall, I didn't do anything to the separater. Am I in deep trouble? I followed the rest of the procedure OK but probably won't know for sure until spring.

hello
I cant think of anything that would be so terrible. change it next spring before you start it. remove the old one and fill the new one with fuel before installing it or you may have a problem priming the fuel system.
good luck and keep posting

Re: Fuel-Water Separater

The only problem you can run into now is if it has plenty of water in it and it freezes and cracks .the fuel will continue to drip.Make sure to take a look at it soon and while you are looking CHANGE IT.It is one of the easiest things you will ever do on a boat.Charlie
