Fuel/Water Separator question

I just purchased a 2004 Nitro Sport 188 with a Mercury 125 Classic outboard. My dealer installed a Mercury Quicksilver Fuel Water separator at my request as part of the deal. I would like to replace the filter element with a Raycor unit with the see-thru bowl at the bottom for ease of dumping the water. My problem is finding out if Raycor makes an element that will fit the Quicksilver head.

The part number of my current filter is:

Assembly: 35-802893A4
Filter: 35-802893T

I checked the Raycor website, and they list a replacement element (Raycor # B32013)for Quicksilver part 35-60494-1. When I investigated further, 60494-1 has been superceded by 35-802893Q.

So my question is...

Are Quicksilver 802893Q and 802893T the same size? Will the Raycor element fit my Quicksilver head?

I have been searching many parts stores to find an answer and have come up blank. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fuel/Water Separator question

I think I have an answer. I just got off the phone with Maesco, and they said the 802893Q and 802893T are the same thing. The last digit just indicates something about date or place of manufacture. So I will order a Racor B32013 element.

Paul
