took the boat out last week and it ran great for about an 1.5 hours. then the engine sputtered and died. when removing the separator filter it was hard to turn but once it broke free it made a sound like as if I removed the lid from a soda bottle. is this normal? or is it a sign that the filter is plugged up? after draining the filter I put it back on and headed home. ran great for about 45 mins then the same thing . managed to get back to the marina and have ordered a new filter. just wondering about the amount of suction that was holding the old filter.
thanks

Sounds like a plugged up filter, plugged vent on your fuel cell or a plugged fuel pick-up in the tank. Check you fuel filter. Check your vent for a blockage. Check your fuel line and tank for debris.
