fuel/water separator

i have seen these for sale and was wondering if it would be worth the effort to install one on my little jon? overkill? i can really just dump the gas if i have any problems, then drain my carb. any opinions out there? i have seen one installed on a jet bost o/b, but he had a big fuel tank

If you use portable tanks, it is overkill. OK you run a tank dry while fishing. You switch to the other one. Now when you fill up the first one, if you have any thought that it has water, dump it out and then refill. Make sure the vents are closed on the tanks when not in use. Water shouldn't be an issue.
