The separator is your only protection of keeping the water out of the engine

I believe that the fuel water seperator and stab-bil do the same thing in different ways, if the STAB-BIL's claim is true.

STA-BIL claims to keep ethanol in gasoline from absorbing water, therefore prevent water's presence in gasoline in the first place, while the fuel filter remove water after it got into the fuel.

Also, from what i read online, one guys said that water no longer appears in his filter bowl wtih Stab-Bil in the fuel. I wonder if this happens to everyone.

The only thing in Stabil that would help with water is more alcohol, which is what's used in most other miracle products, but there is none in Stabil . The more alcohol you put in the fuel, the more water will be absorbed and pass through the system. Stabil's main function is to keep the fuel fresh (usable) longer, which it can do, as with most other products, the rest is smoke and mirrors.

Stabil is 95% Naphtha (mineral oil, kerosene) with some other stuff thrown in. Many, if not most of the additives on the market contain more alcohol, naphtha and couple of other petroleum products.
