Are you saying gas comes out when you squeeze the primer bulb on the gas line? Can you post a picture. Can't imagine what a choke funnel is?
Speaking generically remove the carb and invert and blow into the gas inlet.Should hold and open when righted. Remove float and shake, listen for gas sloshing inside. If the choke is not opening then it would flood.Perhaps the choke is supposed to open by vacume like on a lawnmower. If the part is bad and not available then perhaps you could hold it open with a device, a piece of wire or something

it must be me ,it may come uner another name ,fuel comes out of the air inlet ,where the choke operates, there is nothing wrong with the choke ,thanks ,the float works ok under test ,but was told there might me an air blockage in the float chamber stopping the float going its full distance and not operating the needle correctly, thus causing flooding ,but cant find a breather hole

I don't think an air blockage would affect the float operation.
There is a slim possibility that there is a vent or breather that allows air out as fuel enters. If the breather was plugged or missing it might cause the gas to be forced out prematurely. In my opinion highly unlikely.
When you squeeze the primer bulb does it flood gas?On most carbs when inverted the float is parallel with the gasket surface. What is it that you pull up on to stop flooding?
