Took a cruze this morning and ended up being towed back in, and after a trip home for the truck and trailer. It looks like I have lost spark. no spark at the plugs and I did a quick laynard and sawty switch test. this motor will run with the control box cable disconnected so I did and still no fire. So tomarrow is testing components :facepalm:

But it was a great morning out. The water was just right for swimming. What ever it is I will sort it out and get parts.

I have the color codes on the wires and the ohm values on the componints and its a real simple set up. Stator to make running power, trigger coil for timing, CDI switch box and 2 coils> Both coils have no fire and I used a spark gap tester so I am hopeing it is the CDI box cause its easer to change

Spent about a hour testing components and it did turn out to be the CDI switch box. Picked one up at the local dealer, put it on and put the muffs on it and it started on the first key bump. Its ready to drop back in the lake and back on the slip.

just made it back in from a 3 hour test run, ever thing is fine.
