fuse for elec choke

Mercruiser, Holley....Is it necessary to have a fuse in the circuit for elec choke, new install, if so what ampere fuse will be needed.

the electirc choke should be run off the purple wire ignition circuit, which is already fuse protected

no need for an additional fuse

That was my plan, just wondered if it needed to be fuse protected. If I have 12v constant at the coil just add a terminal.
