Fuse location on an Angler 2007 CC?

I have a 2007 Angler 180F Center console boat. I made a bone head move today when installing the batteries. I forgot the positive lead for what seems to be the instrument gages is black not red. Needless to say something blew somewhere. I'm hoping it's a fuse.

My fuel gauge is not working, but the tach and voltage gauge is. I have opened up the post for the fule tank and there are no fuses there. There are also no fuses I can see under the dash board of the CC.

On the chance that I fried the fuel sending unit, I disconnected the positive lead on it, but there is still no power to the gauge.

There must be fuses somewhere right?

The lead in question does not go to the motor so it can't be there.

I'm going to call my dealer tomorrow to see if I can buy a wiring diagram, but I have tried to get a boat manual from angler before and they do not make them for some dtrange reason.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just a thought, but could there br fuses in the gauge itself? I didn't see any staring me in the face, but then I didn't think of it until now.

Thanks!

There are fuses on the gauge panel itself, or at least there were on my Angler 204FX. They are more of a fusible link that a standard fuse. Usually covered by a clear or black rubber cap. Try pushing them in and seeing if they reset.

There may also be either a small fuse block under the console or simply inline fuses. You'll have to trace the wires back for them, but they are usually within a foot or so of the gauge.

Do you have the manual for the boat?

the push buttons are curcuit breakers, a fusable link is actually a wire that is made to open like a blown fuse. i don't believe new boats use these as they have to be cut out and replaced. trace wire{black that you say is positive for gauges} you will find the open, connect it the right way and with a volt meter keep probing wire until you find open, you'll find fuse before you find an open wire, i believe. once you get it straightened out tape power wire with red tape so you don't do this again next year.

The gauges are not powered by separate wires from the battery. They are powered via the engine harness through the throttle/shift control box. The wires you connected were for your other accessories such as nav/anchor lights, radio, etc. There should be a fuse in the red wire right at the battery. And just so you know, BLACK is NEGATIVE, and RED is POSITIVE. If it is reversed as you seemed to indicate, it is wired wrong.
