I have a Mastercraft comp ski boat that has been set up for fresh water and I need to switch it over to salt water. What all do I need to do to prep it for salt water? It will be for long term salt water use.

do you have a lot of hours on the boat, or very few?

if you have very few hours, you can add a heat exchanger to change it to fresh water cooling

if you have a lot of hours on it, just drop it in the salt water and go boating. flush the engine after use. also a good idea to spray a film of fluidfilm on the engine and items in the bilge as salt air condenses on surfaces and can rust things like valve covers, etc.

Anything specific that was 'set up' for fresh water? For salt water and keeping it in the water for long duration, you will want

Anti-fouling paint
Propeller anti fouling
Anodes
Closed cooling for the engine if you can add it

Not that I know of as far as just for FW. Closed cooling never seen it on a ski boat.

If you're going to trailer the boat, then I would make sure to completely flush the engine after it get hauled.
