I have had 3 boats this year with failures using this system. The latest today was dropping a boat in the water for the initial start and water pouring into the bilge.
Come to find the 2 block drain quick connect hoses have automatically disconnected themselves by corrosion from the fittings.
Solution was to install regular brass drain plugs, and plug the hoses .
Both fittings were partially closed from corrosion.Should they become completely closed the 3 or 7 point system cannot drain the engine block.
The other fittings in the system on the manifolds can also be changed over to the ones with the blue plugs and eliminate those 2 hoses that go to the drain manifold also.
Failure to remove the quick connect hoses and rod the fittings or remove the fittings to rod the block will result in not draining the block. This will result in a cracked block in colder climates
