Gale outboard

It seems I have a Gale 60 hp model # GG9083A. It has an "Evinrude Starflite 50" cover. It IS the V-4. Any info on this monster would be EXTREMELY helpful. emphasis on hooking up the ignition. I Have the harness from the engine to a box with a solenoid. and from there to missing ignition. Battery cables come from the box. HELP!!!

Hm.m.m, I can't find that model number. What are the two numbers preceeding the X in the serial number? Reverse them to find the year. Example, 06X is 1960, 36X is 1963, etc. Sometimes the code preceeds the GG.

Serial # 06X798359. I'll try it. '60 should be the same as '62? Wires match. Many thanks to you. I'll post results. Mine also has a generator on it. Any difference w/ the ignition switch?
