Guys, I have just bought a 2052 WA with hard top and fitted a Merc 150 V6 2.0. I intend to fish with her on this side of the Atlantic (northwest coast of Ireland). She will have some testing weather to put up with over here. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what the tank immediately inside the galley on the 21 ft Trophy WA is intended for. It seems to have water pipes in and out to allow water to flush through but i can't figure it out! Any suggestions.

Re: Galley Tank

Not familiar with the 21 footer specifically, but if you are referring to a tank that is permanantly mounted somewhere in the cabin it is probably the fresh water holding tank, OR a holding tank for waste water from the head (Loo, Water closet..etc in europe terms!!)

I have a 2802 that has both, but in your 21 my guess is a fresh water tank. If you are equipped with a toilet it is probably a portable type wth the tank attached to the toilet.

If it is a fresh water holding tank it will be plumbed into a water pump somewhere and have an on off switch for pressurizing the system as well as probably have a deck mounted fill point that appears much like a fuel cap labeled "Water"

Again I am not familiar with the 21 specifically but that would be my guess.

Re: Galley Tank

I have a 2005 Trophy 2052 and you have me confused. You say you have a Merc 150 v6 2.0. Is that an outboard? If so, then the model of the boat would be a 2002 unless it is a customazation job by a previous owner or yourself. There are only 3 motors offered in the 2052 as far as I'm aware. They are/were the 3.0L, 4.3L and the 1.7L diesel (in recent years). The 4.3 comes in both carb and EFI.

Now about your tank. Again, you mention a galley. I've never seen a 2052 offered (here in the states) with a galley. That was/is in the 2302/2352/2359 (23 foot) on up. The 2052 comes with a porta potti and can have a pump out. Maybe a prior owner had the deck pumpout option (like on mine) and decided to use the plumbing on a frest water tank. I know I've thought about doing that. Pictures would be helpful.

Of course all of the above is predicated on the fact that the boat is a mid 90's or above. :)
