My aluminum hull is showing some pitting along the waterline where the paint is coming off. Also a little is showing up on the bottom. I plan on adding some zinc anodes to the hull.
What is a good way to clean the corrosion (white stuff) before I paint again?

Yes I use this boat in saltwater. I will be rewiring too as we believe there was some stray current.

Ayuh,.....

The same way we clean aluminum for welding,...... With a SSteel wirebrush.....
A SSteel cup brush on a 4" grinder will make Quick work of it......;)

Before you paint, clean the area well, polish the areas with 000 steel wool..
Spray the area with ,Zinc-Chromate primer then Top coat.

Thanks, what should I use to clean it with? I have heard water with baking soda.
