Re: Gamefisher 15hp prop

I believe the standard prop is 8 1/4" X 8 1/8" 15hp max rpm is 5750.
I think the above prop is closer to what you need.Hole shot will be slower but
top speed may be better. The 8 X 6 would push a load better.
Be sure the tach wire is carefilly applied and not picking up any stray pulses.

The tiny tack was really a pain to setup, took over an hour to get a clear signal , kept getting a bad signal or nothing at all, I will try to post a pic of the prop tonight,

Re: Gamefisher 15hp power

Sorry i cant upload pics of the prop, i think is a 8*6, i could be wrong though the 8 has a small cirlcle and a larger one if looking a the 8 big cirlcle of the 8 is on the bottom it looks like a 8*6 with it turned around it looks like a 9*8 with the big circle of the 8 on top sorry if this is confusing. allso stamped on the front of the hub is p713.

To load pics you need to use a host site. Is it a through hub exhaust?
Depending on your total weight; your speed seems in the ball park.

Re: Gamefisher 15hp prop

I believe you have an 8X6. Purely by judgment of Steel pointing out what may have been standard (8 1/4" X 8 1/8" 15hp max rpm is 5750). You stated your max "6,028 rpm", making you nearly 300 rpm above where you want to be.

Going to an 8 X 8 will reduce your wot rpm appropriately, but it will also reduce hole-shot performance. Speed will likely go up.

Since you do not run a tach as standard equipment, I would deffinately go to the 8X8 pitch to help save your engine $$$$$$.

Good luck!
