I have a gamefisher 5 hp motor that is air cooled. The model and seriel numbers have been removed, so I don't know what they are. Can anyone help me find out the model and year? The carb part number is 6E002 and spark plug part number is L77JC4.

Also, there are three holes on the leg; one is marked 'wash', one is marked 'oil level', and the other is marked 'oil'. I presume I would fill the bottom plug first (marked 'oil') until it reaches the 'oil level' plug. Is this correct? What type of oil or lube do I put in there? The 'wash' is for winter storage?

Any info would be appreciated.

I'll take some photos and then download them, but can't do until tomorrow.

Sorry, about the delay....here are photos of the motor. The photos of the oil level, wash, and oil plugs are blurred.IMG_5227.jpg

Check the # on the freeze plug to see if it is a Sears or Force/Mariner model #. I think there was similarity between Force & Mariner--maybe the same company after a name change one way or the other---and they supplied engines to Sears. My Intertec manual has a '77-'81 Mariner 5 HP air-cooled motor (imported I think) that MIGHT be what you have. But frankly I'm grasping at straws and making assumptions!

The freeze part number is 097872. How do I find out if it is a Sears or Force/Mariner model #?
