I cannot move the small, white Tilt Lock lever from the Unlocked position.

It appears that the lever is connected, via a pushrod, to a 1" lever that (I assume) should rotate, thereby turning a small rod through the clamp ***'y. Who knows what it does after that <GG>.

I've tried soaking it in PB Blaster for a couple days, but without success.

Am I correct in that the small lever should rotate and does anyone have any sugestions short of disassembling the clamp?

Thanks ...

Re: Gamefisher 9.9 Tilt lock

Try it in forward, then neutral, then reverse. The tilt lock usually serves two purposes....to hold the motor up when moving boat and to lock the motor down when in reverse so it doesn't jump up when going backwards.
