Gamerfisher 7.5hp in Saltwater?

Hi folks I have a 1980 gamefisher and now that I got it running pretty good was wondering if it could hold up in the saltwater of the Puget Sound Area here in Washington State.<br />I think I read on some past treads that this motor should be used in fresh water?<br />Any advice on matainence would be helpful<br /><br />Thanks

I have a 84 5 hp game fisher that is used in salt water without any proplems I use it for a inflatable I do run it in a buckit of fresh water after the weekend and touch up paint as needed Paul
