Garmin BlueChart,,,,Downloadable??

Is there a way to buy BlueCharts online, and download the info? I have a Garmin GPSMAP 76 and Im looking for NY charts,,,, Onieda Lake and Lake Ontario.

You want the US Recreational Lakes. Not downloadable because it is over a GB. Buy the CD.

AK- I have the GPSMAP 76CSx with the blue chart. The Lake Ontario chart included the St. Lawrence Seaway, and Oneida is on it as well. Also includes several of the Finger Lakes, but not all of them. You would have to buy the inland lakes, as JB pointed out. However, I do love the little unit- it has worked great in the boat and car, and I like that it uses batteries instead of all the cords. I recommend it, except the small screen size. Oh well. It appears that you will have to buy the CD, though. I haven't seen download only, although I have seen ads for the charts preloaded on the micro SD cards. That makes it easier, but if the chip fails, you lose your maps. Better to have them backed up on the computer.

Thanks for the info, guys. I was under the impression that the Navaids for the NY canal system were pre loaded, but they are not. I called Garmin and they said to buy the CD. Its wierd because I was in Albany today, and the Hudson River Navaids are on the unit. I drove up to Waterford where the canal begins, and its like its not there, lol. I guess I'll buy the cd.

You can download almost all garmin software.


You can get the fishing hotspots. Also you can download US Recreational Lakes.
It can be done with bittorrent and is easily available.
I have them and you just need to download them and extract then burn to a dvd.

I searched Bitorrent, and couldn't find a thing. What search term should I be using?
