Garmin nuvi 855

Anyone know if a nautical map can be loaded on an sd card and used for gps using a garmin 855 ? Only to be use in freshwater lakes and rivers, inside of cabin.

Yes, I have all the lake maps for the eastern half of the continent on one sd card I use in my hand held unit.

Will it act like a marine gps with tracking etc;where do get these maps ?

Google Garmin maps and I am sure you will have a hundred places to choose from as far as the bread crumb trail, most gps units do that using a map or not and remember the depth are not absolutely correct and the placement of obsticles is close but not spot on so use caution, if you are close to shallow or an obsticle be aware and watch for it.
