This is a boat and motor I recently purchased used. Got this 115 Merc fired up today and immediately noticed gas just flowing from some screw holes in every carb. Each carb has 2 small screw holes located horizontally from each other. On each carb, the right screw hole has a screw in it and the left one does not. Looking at the seloc manual it looks like this is correct but what could cause gas to flow out if they are supposed to be open??? I am attaching a pic for reference.

Thanks!

Your pic did not post, you also need to tell us more about the motor, what year if you know it or the serial number if you dont.

I am not familar with the motor, but I suspect its a float issue.

CORRECTION: Upon closer inspection, only one carb has fuel flowing from said screw hole. And I do mean flowing!

The fix is to remove and clean the carbs and/or replace the needle and seats. When they dont close all the way the fuel comes out the vent holes in the carb. A quick test is to pump up the fuel line with the engine off and if you see it leaking then you know its the carbs sticking. No big deal to fix
