Don't Keep The 20lb Cylinder Under The Grill Case, Move It Off To The Side , If Necessary Get A Extension Hose, If The Kettle Ignites, See Previous Post, It Can Drip Molten Metal On The Cylinder And It Can Explode. 20lbs Of Propane Exploding Is Nasty.

Good tip, and I keep my spare cylinder away from the grill, but my steel and stainless Q ain't gonna melt down.

Another tip.

DON'T leave the grill unattended:

Two reasons.

-you'll ruin whatever you are cooking.

-it's just not smart to leave any fire without a watchful eye.

If your grill melts down to the point of igniting a propane tank, you are negligent.

People , This is obviously in response to my grill fire post . I posted it for the benefit of all members so nobody else who owned a grill like mine would suffer a loss of any kind. Unfortunatly that thread got side tracked and was properly locked by a moderator . I think a grill safety post is a great idea and many people could benefit from tips here but please lets stick to safety tips to help fellow members.

Kend,

We do not disagree that grill safety is always good idea. We appreciate your sharing the recall issue. Thanks.

I do stand by my recommendation to not leave a grill unattended. Things can get out of hand very quickly.
