gas guage adjustment

I have a 2004 lund explorer 1800 ss adventure . I put a new gas guage on it exact as old one ,but doesn;t read correct. Is there any ajustment on sending unit? Also where can I find specs as to how much gas it holds?

No to the fuel gauge adjustment. They come in three different values, US, Euro and Auto. My guess is it's the wrong gauge.

Why did you replace it?

Improper readings also can be caused by:
Hi impedance circuit to sender (IE corroded wires)
Bad sender
Wrong gauge
Attitude of boat

was the gauge working before you removed it? it wasnt the sender?
the old gauge should/must be the same resistance as sender or will not work.
