Gas leaking.....Puzzled

1994 225hp Johnson. Cranks, idles and wot just fine. VRO has been disabled for a long time. Seems to always have gas/oil mixture running/staining down the outside of the midsection after sitting. I take the airbox off and the throats/front of carbs are dry, I check the carb bases good and they are dry. There is a hose between the bottom two carbs, coming from the crankcase, it is only plugged in at the crankcase and is about 4 inches or so long and just sort of points down into the airbox. I assume this is the hose that pulls the "blowby" back into the engine to be recycled. It looks like the drippage I am getting running down the midsection is coming from this hose......is that possible? Thoughts

Some of those hoses scavenge oil from the bearings, im not sure thats one of them. Im not familiar with that photo. Post a photo if you can

Are you looking at the air silencer drain. #39 on the manifold parts diagrams on this site

Yes, one end is pushed over the nipple coming out of the crankcase but the other end is not connected to anything or going anywhere. Is that correct?
