The guy who ran his boat with stored gas for three years ran into problems. It ran OK for a couple of days and then started bogging down. Yesterday, it shut down all together. He had it looked at by the mechanic at the marina and found out that the carbs were all fouled up and the gas/oil mix was bad and full of sludge. The mechanic told me that he didn't think stabilizer had ever been added to the gas, much less every year (to much slalac?, chelack?, shaluk?, oh heck, you know what I mean). They have to clean the carbs, drain and clean the tank, gas lines, filters etc., and something else related to the engine intake system. The mechanic told me it was going to cost him between $800 and $1000. He should have taken your advise.<br />Stalker
