gas pouring out of bottom of motor

77 25hp evnirude When the boat is off and parked gas keeps coming out of the bottom of the motor. What could cause this. I have already cleaned the carb

A bad hose (crack, cut, etc,) maybe a bad diaphragm on the fuel pump which could pour fuel back thru one cylinder, but the engine would run terrible if that happened. Take a closer look under the hood, what do you see?<br /><br />-John

My first thought is a stuck open float valve which may let the carb drain out the front when you tilt the motor. What exactly did you do when you "cleaned" the carb?
