I have a 79 Evinrude 4HP - I have removed the petcock which is a shutoff from the fuel line, in order to replace the 'O' ring, as it leaks. It is in the shape of a 'T' and I can't remove the cross, necessary to put on a new 'O' ring. Has anyone done this before? Maybe it just needs a shot with a hammer to push it out, but I don't want to kill it? Any thoughts on this?
