Gas Spring Question - Newbie

I have two gas springs that hold up the cover for the engine compartment on my 1987 Chaparral 198 XL. I have searched online and cannot find matching gas springs. They are 35" extended 19" compressed and have eyelets on the ends versus ball joints.

Any suggestions for replacing these?

Try this site. http://www.internationalgassprings.com/html/metal_eye.htm

Part #: 1CU406864MM****

Rod Dia: .393

Cyl Dia: .866

Stroke: 16

Ext lenght: 35.58

Compressed Length: 19.58

I have been looking for replacement ends for my hatch cover struts and came across this site. It looks like they have what you want on this page.

Good luck.

Take the old ones to an auto parts store and match them up. If you can't find the exact ones, you can always go a bit heavier with the tension.
