Gas tank deck fills

I bought a new one from Seadog. Well the old one basically fell to pieces when I took it out. The new one and the new hose don't want to sit in there too nicely. The hose needs to make a bend at the end to sit in the fill nicely which prevents the deck fill from sitting flush to the hull without a lot of pressure to get it in place. I'm trying to find a deck fill with a 90? filler neck to it. Can't find one. Any suggestions?

Re: Gas tank deck fills

I just installed a Perko deck fill that has a 45 deg bend as a straight was impossible to install. Mine has a integral vent also. I doubt there is a 90 deg one as it could be difficult to fuel. I saw a recent post about someone looking for an elbow due to similar interference closer to tank.

I saw that one too but I passed on it because I already have the hole for the tank vent separate from the deck fill. I don't want to get involved in trying to close that hole. What I need is a deck fill with a shorter fill neck. I think the one I have is 1 7/8" but I'm not sure I haven't measured it yet.

Seadog makes one, its a 30 degree bend for separate vent.

Perko makes one that is just a deck fitting with female 1-1/2" or 2" pipe threads to accept pipe to hose adapters. They also make a brass 90 pipe to hose adapter. I not sure if mere mortals can afford them both. GL.
