Gas tank question???

I have a fiberglass gas tank in the belly of my boat people have told me that the Ethanol in gas eats up the fiberglass and ruins the gas tank if I leave gas sitting in the tank. Is this true?? If it is how would I solve this problem?

the answer is, yes it will. i was watching SSTV recently and they dedicated a large portion of the show to ethanol issues. quite interesting. there are ethanol fuel lines which you should use, as well as changing all your hoses within the engine. modern PLASTIC fuel tanks can be used but fiberglass, aluminum, steel are all problems waiting to happen.
