Gas Tank (Very Odd)

[Scout Sport Fish]

Well it just started to warm up and the vent on the side of my 2001 Scout Sport Fish spilled about 6oz of gas out of the vent. First time I noticed it all year. Whats up with that? My only idea is since it got warmer out the gas in the tank expanded some what? Or is there a catasro**** happening under the shrink wrap? (Still winterized but it JUST broke 60* F out today)

if the boat is shrink wrapped and exposed to the sun. it gets hot under there.

AKA The gas in the tank expanded (its under the deck in a 55 US gallon SS tank) and is just overflowing through the vent?
