I put my new 8500 in the water today and hooked it up to a cheep plastic tank ( i have had two motors with the same problem so i thought it might be the tank). I put a new anti-syphon connector on the plastic tank and it ran about 38-40mph across the water, but it died after about 20 min and would not run again. So I put a two part plastic and brass tempo fuel connector on (without an anti-syphon) and after about 25-30 min the the bulb would either be flat or i would have to prime it again to keep from stalling, but it ran great for the 25-30 min. Should I use a connector without an anti-syphon on my built in aluminum tank? Is their anything i should check for on my built in aluminum tank that might cause problems? Everytime i used my built in tank i used the anti-connector.

Re: Gas Tank ?

What would i look for to fix the problem? Nothing is blocking the on the tank, i can push a wire right throught the vent.
