The guys with smaller Lunds how do you keep the gas tank in place?
Mine is all over the boat when I drive down the road.
There was about a1/4" on the side I wedged a piece of carpet in there.

Re: Gas Tank

I've got a WC16 and had the same issue with my gas tank. Both when I was towing and fishing, the tank was always in the way. To curb this, I took apart the middle seat and took out a bit of the foam. I then made a hatch in the seat. Making a compartment for the tank was a great way to clear the decks and keep it in place while I tow.

Re: Gas Tank

in an older boat, I installed a set of the cooler tie downs - just used the 4 corners, screwed to the deck. If you have a bare hull, you might try a longitudinal strap attached to one of the seats. Although, I have to say that I really like the previous posters solution of a hatch inside the seat.

Re: Gas Tank

Thanks for the tips guy's but I have a new 14.75 Rebel and the tank slide under a shelf in the back of the boat. There is about a 1/4" on the top and one side.
I been looking for a strap to screw to the floor but can't find one long enough.

Got it taken care of, slipped a piece of outdoor carpet between the tank and
a brace. It stays put real good, no more bouncing around the boat going down the road.
