I have to plastic gas containers that I used with my other boat where I mixed the oil and gas togeather. Now I have a different boat and it has oil injected. Is there some way to clean the inside of these tanks,i want to use them to put spare gas in for the boat,or will the little oil that would be left in there not hurt going into the gas tank of the boat.

Re: gas

Just use them. There is not enough oil to worry about.

Re: gas

As stated just use themmm what little oil gets mixed will be good on the cycilinder walls, wont hurt a thing.

In fact I was out with my Chevy blazer once and ran damn near out of gas. My brother was out not too far from where I was riding his dirt bike that was a 2 cycle....He had a big tank, maby 5 gallons all ready mixed,.....I poured it all in my truck and it ran fine..........Not something I would want to do everyday but I never could tell a differance.....They say that could eventually ruin the cat converter but you dont have on on your boat....

Re: gas

It's still a 2 stroke. The extra it of oil in the tank won't hurt. Use it and don't worry about it.

Re: gas

I agree that it won't do any harm what so ever. I too have ran 2 stroke gas in 4 stroke engines without anyproblems. Maybe a bit of smoke, but mostly noting noticable.
