Gasket bottom of Power Head to exhaust?

Pulled the power head and thought there would be a gasket between it and the exhaust. Manual says to discard this gasket but there was not one. May explain the exhaust leak and hood filling up. Should there be one here?

Motor ? and yes almost all of them have a gasket.

Ezeke, thanks for the link. I bookmarked it. I guess my searching abilities are not that good I was not able to find the gasket for my lark on Iboats, and other sights I checked had full gasket sets for $75-$100. I cut a piece of my daughters construction paper to fit then I used it as a pattern for cutting one from automotive gasket material I have. We will see if it works when I fire it up tomorrow.
