Copper + steel + aluminum = dissimilar metals. In salt water, you will generate corrosion.

I knew that was gonna be the next question. Any dissimilar metal combination in the presence of water will generate corrosion. Certain combinations are worse than others. It happens faster in salt water. The zinc eroding on a freshwater engine is an example of the presence of electrolysis even in freshwater. I wouldn't use the coppercote. You are making a little battery.....

Use either OMC Gasket Sealing Compound Or Permatex #3.

The new head gaskets don't require any sealer if they are pre coated with the shiny coating. Some even say, no sealer required.

Other wise, as Boobie stated, OMC gasket sealing compound coated evenly.
