gasket question

question is you have the lower half of the motor then you have the middle hale of the motor and then you have the top head the question is what is that gasket that is between the top part and the middle part is that the exhaust gasket or is that the head gesket please help

Not an expert here but::<br />The headgasket is that which is between the cylinder head (where the sparkplugs are) and the cylinder block(where the cylinders and pistons are.The gasket between the powerhead and exhaust leg might be called an exhaust gasket or powerhead adapter.

thank you spike if that gasket is torn alittle will that make the motor run realy and i do mena really slow the exhaust gasket i mean it is not the one behind the spark plugs it is the one the is between the top bart and the bottom part

Stop with all the top part middle part bottom part for the love of God. I'm a chick and I know all the parts guys....come on.<br /><br />The gasket that goes between the power head (top part) and the mid-section (middle Part) is called the exaught gasket.<br /><br />Will it make the engian run slow if its torn...Not at all... you have other problems.<br /><br />I'll guess and say you overheated the block and rotated the sleaves and now the ports don't line up and you cant feed or flow the moter... you'll need a manual to figure all that out.<br /><br />good luck
