gasket seal at up and lower bearings

i have gaset kit for 1986 looper 140hp. no gaskets for retainers on upper and lower main bearings does this get high temp silicne or do the o rings do the job

O-rings do the job okam. Put a LIGHT coat of grease on them before assembly.

NEVER ! Use silicone to seal fuel. NEVER! You can use a little "Bombadier gasket sealing compound" It will help with corrosion also. Otherwise, just a little grease to help the o-rings slide easily. There is no place on any outboard for silicone sealant.
